Amy

CEO & Owner

Amy has spent most of her life fascinated by comic and pop culture, including a deep love for Disney. In fact she could probably quote the entire movie The Little Mermaid.

Amy started at Princess Parties by Mimi as a character actress and in 2017 took over ownership of the company. Her first hand experience at parties and portraying beloved childhood character gives her the best insight to know what kiddos want at a party and how to make everything easier on the parents.

Amy is incredibly passionate about each character she portrays and is a wealth of knowledge for all of them, with a beautiful singing voice to boot having been classically trained for over 17 years.

Cody

Social Media Manager

Cody is a local Calgary model, actor and goof ball. He has been working in performing arts for over seven years. A CrossFit coach and personal trainer by day Cody has all those super hero moves.

Cody has the perfect temperament for your favorite friendly neighborhood superhero. He himself will tell you he still feels like a child so he can fully connect with your little ones and give them a truly authentic character experience.

Alex

Alex is a University of Calgary alumni with a Bachelor of Arts in theater training. He has been passionate about superheroes and acting since he was young.

With ample childcare experience working in an elementary after-school daycare program for 3 years. Alex still volunteers with after-school programs, running a child-friendly Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Alex has the acting chops and imagination to bring your child's favourite character to life!

Annika

Annika has been part of Calgary’s music community their whole life. Already developed a vast performance experiences. They have sung with Calgary Opera and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra many times through Cantare Children’s Choir. Several musicals and jazz events round out their background as a performer. Being very gifted performer, along with singing, Annika has training in dance and piano.

Annika is excited to be enriching their solo career and wants to pursue music as a career. Being a devoted Disney fan for as long as they can remember, they are ready to make your event sparkle as your favorite character and to be the person to fill your day with sunshine.

Awa

Awa has always had a love for performing, growing up in choir and musical theatre where she discovered her passion for singing and being on stage. She also plays guitar and enjoys using music as a creative outlet.

Her journey working with children began at community events, where she loved entertaining and connecting with neighbourhood kids. She later gained valuable experience through respite care, working with children of different backgrounds and needs, which helped her develop patience, empathy, and adaptability.

Awa loves being part of the magic that brings children’s favourite characters to life. She is passionate about creating joyful, memorable experiences and being a positive princess role model that kids can look up to and believe in.

Jenna

Jenna has been working for Princess Parties by Mimi for many years, starting off volunteering with the amazing charity events before becoming more active in the parties offered.

She has extensive experience working with children working for over thirteen years as both a Day Camp instructor and snowboard instructor. As such, she brings a broad array of games in her repertoire for all characters.

Jenna is a big time comic book fan, she is a walking encyclopedia of DC and Marvel history. You won't find any other Batgirl or Supergirl in the city that knows more about those characters than Jenna does.

Ivy

Ivy has been working with Princess Parties by Mimi for many years and has loved the opportunity to make children's dreams come true. Working as a character actor sparked Ivy's love for children which has only grown throughout the years. Ivy has extensive experience working with and entertaining children, from nannying, teaching drama camps and her role as an assistant preschool teacher. Ivy has been able to channel her passions for the arts, making magic, and inspiring children into being one of the very best character actors in the city..

Growing up in Calgary Ivy has always been surrounded by arts and culture, she now has six years of professional acting experience under her belt. From film, to theatre and improv, she has truly begun to emerge in the Calgary arts scene.

Ivy brings an extremely authentic character experience to each party and believes that every child deserves the chance to meet and be inspired by their heroes. Whether she is throwing punches as Wonder Woman or hosting a singalong as Anna, Ivy commits herself 100% to each character she portrays.

Julia

Izzy

Growing up in a Disney-fanatic family, Izzy has spent a lot of her childhood singing and jamming out to Disney medleys. Thanks to her large growing family, Izzy has always had plenty of practice playing with children and making them giggle. She is also locked and loaded with a plethora of answers to the silly and endearing questions children always have.

She has been active in the theatre scene for the last few years, happily participating in every production of her high school career. She spends her free time auditioning for community theatres around Calgary, hoping to expand her stage repertoire and character experience. She recently began taking voice lessons, helping her refine the quality of her party performances. With her bright bursting energy, she picks up the vibe at every birthday party, ensuring the children will leave with bright smiles on their faces.

Max L

Max has worked in the fashion industry, performing on stage and coaching behind the scenes for many years. She’s maintained involvement in the theatre community throughout her high school years in the theatre program, both acting in main roles and working to create the magic behind the curtains. Outside of school, Max auditions for community theatre programs around Calgary, and works at Jubilations Dinner Theatre in Calgary!

Max truly admired every aspect of performing. From being in the living room with her siblings reciting Disney movies in their entirety and doing middle school talent shows, to being on stage with their theatre family and auditioning for shows around the city. Growing up absolutely adoring everything Disney, being able to assist in creating special memories for kids, is the most rewarding part of being involved with Princess Parties by Mimi!

Max W

Max has always loved superheroes, from homemade Halloween costumes to Avengers movie premieres with the family. He brings that passion into being a great performer for every little superhero fan! It’s his top priority to make every party a truly super day.

Max has been performing since he was a kid, from high school shows to summer camps, and beyond. While juggling university, theatre, and family, it’s pretty easy to feel like Spider-Man! He also really cares about children, and has lots of experience with them! He teaches kids on weekends and often babysits, and he reflects this experience during parties

Mieke

Rachael

Rachael has been working for Princess Parties by Mimi for several years and came to the company with a wealth of knowledge. A performer her entire life, Rachael has a background in dance, singing and acting.

Working as a performer at Calaway Park and seeing how the little ones would light up sparked her interested in making children smile year round. As a dance teacher of youths under 10 and a vocal teacher as well, Rachael has the ability to truly entertain the little ones while simultaneously delivering a high quality performance.

Riane

Riane is a front-end software developer with a passion for user experience design. Calgary’s costuming community is what got her started as a character actor with Princess Parties by Mimi when she was spotted at Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo in 2015 dressed as Princess Anna.

Since being recruited Riane has sought out singing and performing coaching to make her the absolute best she can be. Now with almost ten years of training and parties she is one of the best character perfomers in the city.

As a long time Disney fan, for Riane having the chance to interact with kids to bring fun and magic into their day is the icing on the cake.

Shaye

Shaye has been working for Princess Parties by Mimi for many years and absolutely loves the work she does. She has a strong passion for the arts, especially music, and prides herself on being able to bring a truly magical experience to every princess party through her singing voice. She believes that a child’s imagination is something to be nurtured, cherished, and encouraged through the arts.

Growing up as a ballet dancer, singer, stage actor, and now musician, she understands the importance of art and how it shapes our future generations. Her favourite princess growing up was Princess Aurora because of her beautiful voice and love of berry picking! In recent days she finds herself able to identify with Queen Elsa’s calm and elegant demeanour and loves when the little ones join in on singing ‘Let it Go’.
