Amy

CEO & Owner

Amy has spent most of her life fascinated by comic and pop culture, including a deep love for Disney. In fact she could probably quote the entire movie The Little Mermaid.

Amy started at Princess Parties by Mimi as a character actress and in 2017 took over ownership of the company. Her first hand experience at parties and portraying beloved childhood character gives her the best insight to know what kiddos want at a party and how to make everything easier on the parents.

Amy is incredibly passionate about each character she portrays and is a wealth of knowledge for all of them, with a beautiful singing voice to boot having been classically trained for over 17 years.

Cody

Manager of Events

Cody is a local Calgary model, actor and goof ball. He has been working in performing arts for over seven years. A CrossFit coach and personal trainer by day Cody has all those super hero moves.

Cody has the perfect temperament for your favorite friendly neighborhood superhero. He himself will tell you he still feels like a child so he can fully connect with your little ones and give them a truly authentic character experience.

Sara

Booking Liaison & Administration

Sara is a life-long child-at-heart with a passion for making dreams come true for both kids and adults alike. Her own dreams came true when she began working with Princess Parties by Mimi in 2015 as a character actress, and she has since moved on to working in the background in 2022.

Sara has had a long history in Calgary’s costuming community. She sewed her first costume in 2007, won her first Best-in-Show award in 2010, and became a Cosplay Contest judge for a number of years at various anime conventions in both Edmonton and Calgary. She spent over 4 years as an event organizer for Calgary’s local convention Otafest.

Sara is always happy to bring magical moments to life and leave children with memories that will last a lifetime!

Alex

Alex is a University of Calgary alumni with a Bachelor of Arts in theater training. He has been passionate about superheroes and acting since he was young.

With ample childcare experience working in an elementary after-school daycare program for 3 years. Alex still volunteers with after-school programs, running a child-friendly Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Alex has the acting chops and imagination to bring your child's favourite character to life!

Angela

Becoming a characters has always been a thrill for Angela. When it came to Halloween, Costume Parties or anything with a theme, she would always be the one to go above and beyond what was expected. She is also a big fan of Disney characters - especially the ones that she could relate to and looked up to. Both of these things is what fueled her passion to take on costuming back in May 2015.

With her love for Disney, her first costume was Pocahontas which later pushed her to do other and more recent characters like Princess Jasmine and Moana.

In addition to her costuming, Angela has a great compassion for children, and a gentle way with all little ones. To be able to bring smiles to all the kids that get to meet her and her cast mates as a Princess or Prince, just continues the ever growing drive to enlighten their childhood experiences.

Annika

Annika has been part of Calgary’s music community their whole life. Already developed a vast performance experiences. They have sung with Calgary Opera and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra many times through Cantare Children’s Choir. Several musicals and jazz events round out their background as a performer. Being very gifted performer, along with singing, Annika has training in dance and piano.

Annika is excited to be enriching their solo career and wants to pursue music as a career. Being a devoted Disney fan for as long as they can remember, they are ready to make your event sparkle as your favorite character and to be the person to fill your day

Elizabeth

Grace

Grace has been a performer her whole life. From Ballet to Piano, even synchronized swimming. She enjoys being in front of an audience, bringing joy and entertainment. Her performing past brings her an elegance and poise of true royalty.

Grace adores children and regularly volunteers at her Church with the children’s ministries. Her goal is to make every child she comes across smile.

A true lover of music Grace has decided to make it a permanent part of her life. She is currently in University studying for a Bachelors of Music in piano, and is part of the University’s choir. Ever had a princess play the piano at a birthday party?

In her spare time, Grace enjoys costuming, she tries her best to make costumes as accurate as possible. This is reflected in every Princess character she performs as.

Jenna

Jenna has been working for Princess Parties by Mimi for over eight years, starting off volunteering with the amazing charity events before becoming more active in the parties offered.

She has extensive experience working with children working for over thirteen years as both a Day Camp instructor and snowboard instructor. As such, she brings a broad array of games in her repertoire for all characters.

Jenna is a big time comic book fan, she is a walking encyclopedia of DC and Marvel history. You won't find any other Batgirl or Supergirl in the city that knows more about those characters than Jenna does.

Ivy

Ivy has been working with Princess Parties by Mimi for almost ten years and has loved the opportunity to make children's dreams come true. Working as a character actor sparked Ivy's love for children which has only grown throughout the years. Ivy has extensive experience working with and entertaining children, from nannying, teaching drama camps and her role as an assistant preschool teacher. Ivy has been able to channel her passions for the arts, making magic, and inspiring children into being one of the very best character actors in the city..

Growing up in Calgary Ivy has always been surrounded by arts and culture, she now has six years of professional acting experience under her belt. From film, to theatre and improv, she has truly begun to emerge in the Calgary arts scene.

Ivy brings an extremely authentic character experience to each party and believes that every child deserves the chance to meet and be inspired by their heroes. Whether she is throwing punches as Wonder Woman or hosting a singalong as Anna, Ivy commits herself 100% to each character she portrays.

Jessica

Jessica grew up in competitive dance and became used to the stage at a young age. Through dance, she also joined several musicals and discovered her love for singing.

She has a decade and a half of experience working with children, first through babysitting, then working at Calaway Park, and later completing her Linguistics degree and working as an ESL Teacher. This experience helps her to tailor party activities on the fly to make the party the best that it possibly can be for your children.

Jessica is also an avid part of the Calgary costuming community and loves the opportunity that crafting costumes gives her to express herself through art.

Rachael

Rachael has been working for Princess Parties by Mimi for almost three years and came to the company with a wealth of knowledge. A performer her entire life, Rachael has a background in dance, singing and acting.

Working as a performer at Calaway Park and seeing how the little ones would light up sparked her interested in making children smile year round. As a dance teacher of youths under 10 and a vocal teacher as well, Rachael has the ability to truly entertain the little ones while simultaneously delivering a high quality performance.

Riane

Riane is a front-end software developer with a passion for user experience design. Calgary’s costuming community is what got her started as a character actor with Princess Parties by Mimi when she was spotted at Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo in 2015 dressed as Princess Anna.

Since being recruited Riane has sought out singing and performing coaching to make her the absolute best she can be. Now with almost ten years of training and parties she is one of the best character perfomers in the city.

As a long time Disney fan, for Riane having the chance to interact with kids to bring fun and magic into their day is the icing on the cake.

Shaye

Shaye has been working for Princess Parties by Mimi for over ten years and absolutely loves the work she does. She has a strong passion for the arts, especially music, and prides herself on being able to bring a truly magical experience to every princess party through her singing voice. She believes that a child’s imagination is something to be nurtured, cherished, and encouraged through the arts.

Growing up as a ballet dancer, singer, stage actor, and now musician, she understands the importance of art and how it shapes our future generations. Her favourite princess growing up was Princess Aurora because of her beautiful voice and love of berry picking! In recent days she finds herself able to identify with Queen Elsa’s calm and elegant demeanour and loves when the little ones join in on singing ‘Let it Go’.
