Princess Parties policies and frequently asked questions
1.1 Princess Parties by Mimi is an Insured and Licensed local Calgary business with contracted performers with background checks.
1.2 Clients are aware that in booking with Princess Parties by Mimi the performers and costumes are not licensed character but character impersonators.
2.1 Clients must ensure no harm is to be done to the performers, costumes or supplies while the party is commencing.
2.2 The client is to keep children from harming performers or costumes at all times.
2.3 If the performer feels they are in a situation out of their control they have the right to leave the party, a manager will contact the party contact to discuss the performer’s reentry or discuss a refund.
3.1 While we take immense pride in our ability to entertain children, it is important to understand that Princess Parties by Mimi is not a babysitting service, the performer should NEVER be left to care for children.
3.2 As such, a parent must be present at all times for the duration of the party. This is nonnegotiable.
4.0 Rude or inappropriate behavior towards a performer at a party will not be tolerated, especially rude or inappropriate behavior from an adult at a party towards a performer.
4.1 If a performer feels an adult at the party is being rude or inappropriate towards, they have the right to leave the party. A manager will contact the party contact to discuss the performer's possible reentry.
4.2 Refunds will not be given in situations where a performer is forced to leave a party due to rude or inappropriate behavior targeted towards them from an adult at a party.
1.1 Parties can be booked between the hours of 9am to 6pm seven days a week Monday through Sunday. Typically we book about three weeks out from the party date however can typically accommodate bookings months in advance or a few days out. Please inquire for availability.
While we strive to answer calls, emails texts and messages as soon as possible, please allow us extra time on the weekend to get back to you as we are busy with parties and events.
1.2 Payment (either full or deposit) MUST be completed a week prior to the party date. This is nonnegotiable as it solidifies the booking for both parties.
Payment can be done in one of two ways. Payment is required one week in advance to the party date.
Payment in full, this is our preferred payment method as no money exchanges hands at the party, which helps to “keep the magic alive”. For transparency, when paying in full a nonrefundable fee of $50 is incorporated into party and event prices. Prices listed in our Packages have the nonrefundable fee incorporated. Payment can be done via etransfer or PayPal (PayPal accepts credit cards).
Two time payment system, you pay a deposit, which includes the nonrefundable fee of $50, the remaining balance is paid in cash to the performer the day of the party. Deposit payment is done via etransfer.
Client Cancellation: If you need to cancel a party after paying you will be refunded with exception of the nonrefundable fee of $50, the fee is given to the performer booked for your party to compensate them for unpaid time.
PPbM Cancellation: If in the extremely unlikely event that Princess Parties by Mimi needs to cancel a party you will be refunded in full and another time slot of your choosing will be booked.

Q. Do the performers sing?
A. Yes! We are the original singing Princess Parties company in Calgary and have been singing at parties for over 5 years. The princess will sing unless you have been informed otherwise.
*Please note, superheroes and additional characters that do not have a specific character song will not sing.
Q. How far out do you require party bookings?

A. Payment can be done in one of two ways.

Q. Should I tell my child about the party?
A. Each child is different and responds to royal or super surprises differently, some respond great to the surprise while some become overwhelmed easily. You know your little one best and if you feel they would love this surprise we are all for it. If you are unsure of how they will react we recommend informing them of their birthday visitor.
Q. Can you do a party at a play place?
A. Yes! This is a common requests and most play places are more than accommodating to characters attending parties.
Q. Can you do a party at a school or preschool?
A. Yes! We ask that you inform the school of the party and ensure it is okay with the school first.

Q. What can you do for events, such as Oil & Gas parties, Stampede Parties or weddings?
